about me

Hi, I’m Dr. Kate Bochnewetch PT, DPT, aka “The Running DPT”!

I’m a physical therapist, run, and strength coach living with hEDS, POTS, and chronic migraine, and I work exclusively with runners living with chronic illness and/or pain!

As a lifelong runner and mover, chronic illness diagnosis prompted me to change the way I view exercise, running, and its role in my life. I’m on a mission to help runners living with chronic illness/pain stop fighting against themselves and start finding balance!

The Strong Runner Revolution

Coach Kate’s one-on-one run and strength coaching program

This program is for runners living with chronic illness/pain who:

• Are ready to return to running

• Are looking to find balance in their training and reduce training-related flares

• Have a history of running related injury and want the guidance of a physical therapist for injury prevention

• Want to find the JOY in training again

• Are looking to become a stronger, more resilient runner!

• Are ready to put their health and wellbeing (inside and out) at the forefront

Start Strong for Runners

Coach Kate’s one-on-one strength coaching program

This program is for runners who are:

• Ready to commit to at least 2x 30 minute strength training sessions per week

• Not currently in training for a race

• Sick of bouncing around programs/workouts and not seeing any real change in strength

• New or relatively new to strength training/heavy lifting (beginner through intermediate is appropriate)

• Looking for custom programming, virtual coaching feedback, and accountability

• Open to new ideas & change

*also appropriate for my spoonie runner community and a GREAT way to get strong and gain function!

Foundations in 15

Coach Kate’s self-guided 4-week online program.

This product is for runners living with chronic illness/pain who are looking to begin or re-commit to resistance training.

Through this program you will:

• Receive 4 weeks of at home training to build the foundations of a strength plan

• Learn when and how to modify your training alongside your chronic illness symptoms

• Want a program you don't have to leave the house for (minimal equipment required, loungewear encouraged!)

• Receive peer and coaching support via Discord

This program is for runners who:

• Want to begin or resume resistance/strength training (newbies welcome!)

• Struggle with the boom-bust cycle of training, crashing, doing nothing, then repeating...and need something different

• Have limited energy and want to learn how to better listen to your body

• Want a self-paced yet supported training option that doesn't take up hours of your week
